Vacuum Encapsulating And Potting

Vacuum potting is necessary when potting parts that have integrate cavities and hard to reach areas for the resin, often these areas entrap air and only vacuum will allow the elimination of voids or bubbles. The goal is to eliminate air and humidity and achieve a bubble free potting and encapsulating process.

Bartec has built many machines and lines for vacuum potting and encapsulating stators, rotors, ignition coils, parts with windings in general, sensors, lamps, and electronic assemblies in general.

The vacuum potting machine or line is sized based on the application and volume. Options include manual or automated dispense and then post-vacuum, manual or automated dispensing inside a vacuum chamber. Also it is crucial to consider based on the resin characteristics the need to condition the resin vessels or tanks with vacuum degassing, agitation, recirculation and temperature control.

Low volume manual loading and unloading vacuum potting and encapsulating application
Manually load and unload pallets into this 2-axis vacuum cell to dispense under vacuum a pallet with multiple parts

Higher volume conveyor zed automated vacuum potting and encapsulating dispensing line.
Parts are transferred in a pallet into a preheat station, then to a vacuum chamber for potting, vision check, then curing and cooling of the parts.

Reduce your cycle time with a 3-vacuum chamber dispensing machine
High volume conveyorized vacuum potting and encapsulating dispensing line with 3 vacuum chambers. While the first chamber brings the part to a desired vacuum level, the second remains under vacuum offering continuous vacuum dispensing and the third chamber returns the parts back to atmospheric pressure.
The benefit is a reduced cycle time, due to the continuous dispensing in the middle chamber.
